How to get to Iguazu Falls

Iguazu Falls are located 1,640 km from Buenos Aires and 300 km from de Posadas (the capital of the Misiones Province).
To the falls, you can get by car, plane, or bus. For short stay, we recommend you to travel by plane, but if you have over 4 days, it is simple to get there by land transportation.
How to get there by plane Flights arriving to Iguazu Falls International Airport, in Puerto Iguazu, depart from Buenos Aires and from the main cities in Argentina, with Aerolineas Argentina and LAN. The flight from Buenos Aires takes one and a half hours. There is also an Andes flight from the city of Salta (Argentina), and it is possible to arrive to Foz de Iguazu (Brazil) from the main Brazilian cities.

How to get there by car or by bus By car, you can get to Puerto Iguazu from Posadas (capital of Misiones Province) taking National Road number 12. For those driving from Buenos Aires, the best option is to take National Road number 9 to the city of Zarate (Buenos Aires Province), then take National 14, which runs by the side of the Uruguay River, and then take National Road number 12 through Provincial Road number 40.
By bus, the main companies that get to Iguazu Falls from Buenos Aires and other cities in Argentina are: *Expreso Tigre Iguazu, Crucero del Norte and Via Bariloche*. Travelling time from Buenos Aires is approximately 18 hours (fast service).
