Foz de Iguazu (Foz do Iguaçu in Portuguese) is a Brazilian city at the west border of the Paraná state, at the border with Argentina and Paraguay.

The main income sources from Foz do Iguazu are the tourism and the electricity generation. The city is famous for its touristic attractions, which bring people from Brazil and from the whole world. Among these attractions you can visit the Iguazu Falls, the Itaipu hydroelectric dam where the Iguazu River joins the Parana River, known as the Three Borders Landmark area.

Itaipu hydroelectric dam
Itaipu ("singing stone" in guarani), is the world's largest in terms of its operation size, and it’s a binational undertaking between Brazil and Paraguay. It’s located in Hernandarias, a city on the Parana River, at the border between the two countries, 14 km north of the Friendship Bridge. + Info : www.itaipu.gov.br

Guarani Forest Zoo
Located a few blocks from downtown, this park has many species of trees and animals of the area. Visiting this zoo is a good way to learn about the flora and fauna of Iguazu. Free admission. + Info

Bird Park
It is located in a forest of 17 hectares, close to the Iguazu National Park. You will have the opportunity to visit these nurseries and learn about bird life. Alligators, anacondas, boas, marmosets and butterflies will also amaze you.

Three Borders Landmark
Just like on the Argentine side, a few kilometers from downtown Foz is the Three Borders Landmark, from where you can see the junction of the Parana and Iguazu rivers and the coasts of Paraguay and Argentina.

Acquamania
Acquamania Aquatic Park, with 20,000 m2, is a unique attraction offering 8 waterslides, 7 pools and spacious entertainment areas.

Friendship Bridge
The Friendship Bridge is over the Parana River and connects the cities of Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil) and Ciudad del Este (Paraguay). + Info
